The early summer return of this popular event will once again see Hyde Town Centre showcasing classic and vintage cars, in pristine condition, from yesteryear.

Hundreds of visitors from all over the region are expected to descend upon the town to welcome this popular event, which has been running in the town for a number of years.

This year, Hyde Town Team has collaborated with Hyde SPECSAVERS who will be generously supporting the event by sponsoring and judging the entrants.

The free vintage vehicle extravaganza, which has been organised by Hyde Town Team and the Tame Valley Vintage and Classic Car Club returns on Saturday 15th June and it’s expected that up to 25+ cars, motorcycles and other vehicles will be on display on Hyde’s civic square.

Julia Harrison, Chair of Hyde Town Team said: “This event is another great opportunity for motoring enthusiasts and families to visit Hyde Town Centre and see cars from years gone by.

“Previous shows have been a great success and have been growing in popularity year on year, but with the spring weather being so unpredictable we’ve moved it to early summer where we hope to enjoy a sunny June, and shoppers and visitors will also be able to visit all the shops and attractions our town centre have to offer.”

Vehicles will be judged during the show by Diane Wood, Director of Hyde SPECSAVERS, who will also present the prizes, with one proud owner picking up the prestigious SPECSAVERS Trophy and the ‘Car of the Show’ title.

The event starts from 10am and lasts until 3.00pm and it is hoped that Tameside Radio’s Outside Broadcast crew will be reporting live from the show at various times throughout the event.

As always, entry in the show is free!
