After the successful launch in Hyde of the Tweed Tap bar, Tweed 2 has now opened its doors on High Street East in Glossop. Although the new bar has been open for less than three weeks it has already become a popular spot not only for lovers of real, locally brewed ales, but also for couples and groups of both men and women who appreciate the pleasant surroundings the friendly atmosphere and the fine choice of drinks available.

Tweed 2 is literally a couple of doors up from the Norfolk Arms traffic lights and it has been developed by the husband and wife team of Kevin and Gaynor Clegg. Kevin, who is a builder, has designed and constructed the inviting interior of these most impressive premises, while the day-to-day running of the bar is in the capable hands of Gaynor who comes from an experienced licensee background.

Tweed 2 is open every day (except Tuesday). On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday the opening times are 2.00pm until 10.30pm. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday it is open from 12 noon until 10.30pm.

The many exclusive attractions of this new bar are apparent the moment you step through the doorway. Not only is it superbly appointed with pleasant surroundings and comfortable seating, but the splendid array of drinks available will be more than enough to suit every taste.

Of course the well stocked bar includes the full range of hand-pulled award winning craft beers locally brewed by Tweed, including Hopster, IPA, Black Shire Stout and Gold, but it also includes the famous Tweed lager, plus guest craft ciders

Equally impressive though is the mouth-watering selection of flavoured gins, the ‘top-shelf’ whiskeys, brandies and other spirits as well as an excellent choice of wines, including of course prosecco.

With a generous discount on beers for CAMRA members the new Tweed 2 is without doubt going to become a major attraction in Glossop town centre.
