Earlier this week, pupils from Hyde Primary Schools took part in a really competitive Dodgeball tournament. The tournament was limited to children from years 3 and 4 which saw nearly 60 children taking, catching and dodging shots as they targeted each other.
The sports hall was full of enthusiastic and excited players going head to head to gain top spot, and the knockout games saw competitors all displaying plenty of ducking, diving and dodging all in the name of the game!
With six teams taking part in the tournament, spectators saw some fantastic matches being played out which resulted in Dowson Primary being crowned the champions, closely followed by Flowery Field.
Kay Hawke, who organised the tournament, said, “ A big ‘well done’ to everybody who took part and a offered huge thanks to the 12 Sports Leaders from Hyde Community College that assisted with the running and the refereeing of the tournament as usual.
