New members are the lifeblood of any organisation and Hyde Rotary Club, although it was formed over 80years ago; and have maintained a steady increase in numbers, is still no exception.

Last Thursday evening, a delighted Karen Dorney, Hyde Rotary’s current President, inducted their newest member Mr David Oldham into the fold.

Karen said, “David has a vast amount of experience in voluntary community work. He has been a member of Glossop Round Table for a number of years and has chaired numerous committees; he also dedicates time to Hyde’s favourite support unit, Sandwich Angels, and we all look forward to David working with us in support of our community in the years to come.

The club are delighted that David has decided to join our growing Rotary Club in Hyde.”

With the announcement of our annual Christmas Sleigh round programme, there has never been a better time to be a member of the one of the most successful community clubs in Tameside.

Karen in her welcoming speech concluded, “We have an exciting future ahead and with your help, we can make sure that future a successful one.”
