Hyde Town Team, who work tirelessly to boost town centre retail success to the community, have thanked everyone who backed their fourth annual ‘Blue Light Community Day’ which was held on Saturday 27th July 2019.
Editor of the onsite daily news portal, Local Community Matters’ (www.localcommunitymatters.com) and Town Team member, said, “…it’s an honour to be able to give back to the community in this way and produce a series of events that put a smile on so many faces! Our thanks go to everyone who came to the event and to all the contributors’, sponsors and supporters who helped us to put on this popular annual show.”
Keeping with the ‘first responders’ theme, the team; supported by Specsavers Hyde, held a fun competition to ‘guess the number of balloons’ that had been crammed into a vintage police Panda Car, in their effort to raise much needed funds to help the team host future events in the community. One lucky entrant won the huge family hamper which was generously donated by Morrisons, Hyde. ‘A big thank you to everyone who entered both the Town Team Raffle and the ‘Balloon’ competition, which together raised more than £500
