CONCERT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOSPITAL HELPING MOSSLEY WOMAN’S FIGHT FOR LIFE

A concert is being held at Mossley Football Club this weekend to raise money for the Hope Building at Salford Royal Hospital, where a Mossley woman is fighting for her life.

It’s been organised by the friends of 43 year old Amanda ‘Mandy’ Broadbent, who is still in the hospital after 20 weeks, having suffered a brain aneurysm.

Mandy’s father Roy Holding said: “She went to a concert at Old Trafford Cricket Ground with her friends and her blood vessel suddenly burst outside when they were leaving.

“The concert has been arranged by her friends and all of the donations received will go to the hospital that has been very supportive.”

The concert is on Sunday (October 22) at Mossley’s Seel Park ground.

It starts at 12pm and runs until late.

Admission is FREE and there will also be a number of stalls, including bric-a-brac.

Everyone is welcome to attend.

Salford Royal’s major new hospital wing, Hope Building, opened in September 2010 following two years of building work.
