BRADLEY GREEN PRIMARY WIN THE ‘ULTIMATE DODGEBALL’ TOURNAMENT

Ultimate Dodgeball is a universally appealing sport that everyone can play. If you can catch, throw or dodge then you can play dodgeball! And those skills were ably demonstrated as pupils from the Hyde Primary School Cluster came together at Hyde Community College to take part in a fabulous Ultimate Dodgeball tournament.

The sports hall was full of ducking, diving and dodging all in the name of the game as 7 teams took part in the tournament which resulted in nearly 70 children taking shots at each other.

There were some very closely contested matches but in the end it was the team from Bradley Green Primary being crowned the champions, closely followed by Flowery Field.

Kay Hawke, who organised the event on behalf of the Hyde Schools Cluster said, “It’s a fantastic way to get children active and is also great for developing team-building skills and strategic thinking, and with the inclusive game of Dodgeball, everyone can take their place in creating a successful team.”

“So, it’s a big ‘well done’ to everybody who took part and a special ‘big thank you’ to the 15 Sports Leaders from Hyde Community College that assisted with the running and the refereeing of the tournament. Without their involvement these events would not be possible!”
