Hyde Community College showed that Hyde, certainly has Talent when they staged an evening of fun, music and laughter.
It was a night when students from Hyde Community College produced their ‘star quality’ at their professionally produced annual talent show ‘Hyde’s Got Talent’ which showcased a cross section of acts confidently performed by many of the schools’ talented students.
It was a brilliant night and really well attended. There was a fantastic range of talent on display including singers, musicians and even a martial arts act – with each artist performing before a cheering audience of parents, classmates and teaching staff.
The show was hosted by year 11 student Dom Mayhew – the College’s very own Ant & Dec – rolled into one!
The students involved were:
Dominic Mayhew – Pianist
Nacoya Adams – Sax solo
Kaetlyn Leach – Singer
Leah Mistry – Singer
Aashah Ramadan – Pianist
Jodie Walton – Singer
Charlotte Hall – Singer
Abbie Layfield – Singer
Grace Partridge – Singer
Kaitlyn Carroll – Karate display
Also performing were the school vocal group – who sang as an intro’ to the event, and closing the show, the audience was treated to the sounds of the school rock band and jazz band.
After the show, Assistant Headteacher, Paul Thompson said, “Our annual talent shows have proved to be a great way to showcase our students’ talents, build their confidence, and bring our community together. It’s a fun-filled evening event that appeals to all our students, their families and friends.”
