NON-LEAGUE DAY COMES TO BOWER FOLD

NON-LEAGUE DAY COMES TO BOWER FOLD

Stalybridge Celtic Foundation are pleased to be part of the Non-League Day celebrations on Saturday 7th October, when Matlock Town FC visit Bower Fold for an EvoStick League fixture.

We have invited over 2,000 local Primary School children to attend the game as part of our ‘£5 Fresh Air Football’ Ticket initiative, but this time it will be FREE, yes FREE, for 1 x Adult and 1 x Child to come along and cheer the team on to another three points.

Once they pass through the turnstile, they can collect our popular ‘Autograph Hunt’ sheets and try and get the ten signatures from the Manager, Players, Kit Man, Physio to Bower Badger…

School Assemblies have been carried out over the last two weeks at –

Arlies Primary

Buckton Vale Primary

Gorse Hall Primary

Millbrook Primary

Silver Springs Academy

St. Raphael’s Primary

Stalyhill Infants

Stalyhill Juniors

Wild Bank Primary

Children who are unable to attend v Matlock Town FC, can access our fixture v Barwell FC on Saturday 21st October, so they don’t miss out on the Free ticket offer.

Also as part of the Ticket Initiative, one of our Matlock Town FC/Barwell FC tickets, will get the ticket holder a FREE Happy Meal from McDonalds (Hattersley Restaurant Only and with purchase of a value meal), so lunch before and trip to Bower Fold for the match, all for Free!

Prior to Kick Off on the day, our over 60’s walking football team, Vintage Celtic will be playing a friendly fixture on the pitch at 2pm and our adult PAN-Disability team will be taking part in a Penalty Shoot Out during half-time.

Community Development Officer, Mike Smith, said – ‘We are looking forward to welcoming families from across Stalybridge to Bower Fold, as I told the children in all the assemblies, where they were all nice and quiet, they can come to watch the match and be as noisy as they like cheering Stalybridge Celtic on! Hopefully, it will be a good day, with a good crowd and three points – can’t wait!’
