Have you got a talent that can be shown on stage?
With the ‘Quest for a Star’ talent competition being staged at the annual Stalybridge Carnival, the judges are looking forward to shining the spotlight on the stars of Tameside, who will hopefully be showcasing their talents as part of the town’s main event which will take place in Cheethams Park on Sunday, 24th June 2017.
The competition, organised and run by by the Tameside Reporter, Glossop Chronicle & Tameside Radio (part of the Quest Media Group), the ‘Quest for a Star’ talent search is open to local talented people who will be showing their talent in the hope of taking away the top prize of £100 in cash and the prestigious ‘Quest for a Star’ trophy.
Karen Dorney, owner of Paper Tulips, Tameside’s premier Craft Emporium, based in Hyde; competition sole sponsor and principle talent show judge, hopes to see a diverse range of performances from Magicians to Gymnasts, Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Comedians, Groups and Bands and any other individuals who wish to show off their hidden talents.
She commented, “This is a great opportunity for local people to take centre stage at the town’s carnival and show what they can do.”
It’s not known just how many people have applied to enter the competition so far, but Quest Media and the show’s exclusive sponsor, Paper Tulips, would encourage both young and older people alike; from primary and high school age to pensioners, to apply today and show their hidden talents through music, singing, dance performances or just by making the audience laugh by telling a few funny stories….who knows, they could be picking up the £100 cash prize and carrying off the Quest for a Star trophy.
