COUNCILLOR BRENDA WARRINGTON WILL TODAY BE APPOINTED LEADER OF TAMESIDE COUNCIL

Cllr Brenda Warrington has been chosen as the new leader of Tameside Council.

Brenda will replace Kieran Quinn, who sadly passed away on 25 December after suffering a heart attack.

Her appointment will be officially confirmed at a council meeting today, Wednesday 31 January 2018 and her appointment will see Brenda become the first female leader in the history of the Tameside Borough.

On behalf of all at Local Community Matters, we’d like to congratulate the Denton West Councillor and look forward to reporting on her future community involvement and her presiding over the borough’s public events.
