COME REIGN OR SHINE, BROMLEYS SUPPORTS GOOD CAUSES

Bromleys has handed over a cheque for £300 to REIGN, a project based in Manchester which works nationwide to combat child sexual exploitation.

The money was raised in a raffle held at Bromleys’ annual care team gathering in Manchester, with prizes donated by local businesses.

The event, attended by almost 100 people, also marked senior solicitor Steve Gwenlan’s retirement.

Olivia Bell, the head of Bromleys’ care team, presented the cheque to REIGN co-founder Zoe at the firm’s Ashton-under-Lyne offices.

Zoe said: “We’re sincerely grateful to Bromleys Solicitors for raising this money and for believing in our project.

“It is amazing to know that there are businesses and individuals out there who want to support our work.

“Although we are very small, we have huge passion and ambition. All donations we receive help us to cover vital expenses to keep REIGN running and to strengthen our foundations for when we are ready to really grow.”

REIGN is a project run by survivors of child sexual exploitation and is supported by the social change charity RECLAIM.

It provides training to frontline professionals, educating them about how abusers operate, what children who are subjected to sexual exploitation go through and how best to help victims.

Olivia said: “We are thrilled that the money we raised at our event will be put to great use to help young victims of sexual exploitation. We applaud the work being done by the team at REIGN.”
