A Hattersley car boot sale has raised more than £800 for the We Love Manchester Fund.
The special event took place on Tesco’s car park of Stockport road, recently (30th July) attracting dozens of Hattersley and Mottram residents.
Those attending got the chance to pick up a bargain, and try their luck on in the prize tombola, while the youngsters got to ‘hook a duck’ and take part in a lucky dip.
The fundraiser was hosted in partnership with Peak Valley Housing Association and Tesco Extra Hattersley.
More than 40 sellers hired pitches on the day, and the money raised will now be donated to the We love Manchester emergency fund in aid of the 22 victims who lost their lives in the Manchester terrorist attack in May.
Sonia Heaton, Community Champion from Tesco Extra Hattersley said: “This is another example of the great community spirit in Hattersley. Residents and local businesses working together, we really wanted to contribute some fundraising to show our support to those affected by the terrorist attack”
Sandra Harrison of Peak Valley Housing Association added: “It was a great event! We have a great working relationship with Tesco and jointly we are already putting together plans to do more projects.
