The 250th Manchester Scout Group held their Annual General Meeting last night at their Headquarters at Ellen Street, Droylsden.
Group Scout Leader, Chris Sampson, welcomed everyone to their annual review of their activities throughout the year. During the evening several Cub Scouts were presented with badges.
Three Cubs, Callum, Alex and Harvey, were invested, while Mathew, Max A, Max G and Callum were presented with their Scientist Badge and the Fire Safety Badge was presented to Matthew, Max A, Max G, Callum and Jack R.
The top Cubs Scout Award, the Chief Scout Silver, was presented to James.
Richard Curtis, a member of the Scout Network, was presented with his Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. He also gave a talk on the activities he had to do to achieve his DoE Award and the additional activities he has had to do to achieve his Queen’s Scout Award. Richard was also presented with his Scout Leader Wood Beads, showing that he had completed his training as a Leader.
Chris thanked all the Leaders and Helpers for their work in the past year and looked forward to an even more adventurous year to come.
