The new 12th Ashton at Richmond Street Community Centre Ashton has just restarted with two new Leaders, Jane and Phil Rogers.
Jane and Phil have been training with Amanda Kinsey from 2nd Ashton and 3 new Cubs, Dylan, Daisy and Maxwell, who have all been working hard over the last three weeks to gain their nature badge.
The new cubs have been learning about trees and plants and collecting insects plus learning the country code and making seed feeders with lard for the birds.
As they have now completed all the stages of the badge, Amanda Kinsey presented them with their nature badge.
Alan Fish from Scouts said, “It’s great to see young people gaining badges in Scouts but we do need more Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at 12th and also more Adults to help the young people on Friday nights.”
“We are still looking for more Adults to help Amanda Kinsey at 2nd Ashton who meet on a Monday at West End Church Community Centre on Trafalgar Street Ashton.
